Sony introduces 30MB per second pro Memory Stick

Bangalore: To match with the early confirmation of its new mirrorless NEX series Alpha cameras, Sony has introduced Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo HX memory cards for faster transfer speeds. The new memory stick can attain 30MB per second write speeds, twice that of the older versions.

The cards are said to be optimized to work with the latest Sony hardware and are the fastest on the market.

Each new card will be bundled with x-Pict Story software for online photo sharing and a data recovery program. The cards will be available at a later, unspecified date in 8GB to 32GB capacities, with prices starting at $60.
